== How protection works ==
A page is only actually locked when BOTH of these are true:
- An admin has flagged the page as protected.
- The page''s wikitext contains a call to <span class="template-missing">Protected.</span>.
If either one is missing, the page is editable by anyone, even if the other one is still set. To re-open a "protected" page, someone just needs to remove the <span class="template-missing">Protected.</span> template call from the text -- the admin flag alone does nothing on its own.
